The Barstow House - Rooms and Rates

The Bonfoy Room

The Bonfoy Room is named for Helen G. Bonfoy for whom the house was built between 1887 and 1888. You’ll find several early photographs of this house in our office area. This room includes:

A very comfortable king-sized bed.
A/C and ceiling fan
Wireless internet is available in your room and throughout the house for your personal laptop.
A small refrigerator
Armoire and antique dresser.
Glassware for beverages. Ice is available; just let us know and it will be delivered.
Sound-Spa to lull you to sleep.
Gourmet chocolates for that midnight sweet tooth.

In your bathroom you'll find :

the original pedestal sink
heirloom dressing table
a Jacuzzi tub and shower
amenities from Emz Blendz Soap Co. for your personal use
hair dryer and curling iron

Nearby is our library area. Feel free to browse or borrow books during your stay.

Consider reserving the Caney Room with the Bonfoy Room. Together, these two rooms along with the upstairs library and large bath, make a convenient and private suite that can accommodate up to four persons. Twin beds can be arranged in The Bonfoy Room if your stay is for two days or more. There is an extra nightly charge of $25.

In-season: $150 per night with private bath

$100 per room with semi-private bath (shared between two rooms). You may often have a private bath if the other room is not occupied. However, if you choose this rate, we reserve the right to rent the other room.

$190 for suite (Bonfoy Room with Caney Room) plus full bath. Twin beds available in Bonfoy Room (if your stay is for two nights or more) for an additional nightly charge of $25. A fold-away bed is also available in this room for an additional nightly charge of $25. (Great for families. Sleeps a maximum of 5 persons.)

All rates include a full breakfast and afternoon or bedtime snack.

MasterCard and Visa accepted, as well as cash or check.

(Please note: During event weekends, we require a two-night minimum stay.)

The Caney Room

The Caney Room is named for Clara Caney who owned this house from 1910 to 1926.

This cozy room is perfect for couples or singles traveling alone and includes:

A very comfortable full-sized bed.
Antique dresser and mirror
Wireless internet is available throughout the house for your personal laptop.
Glassware for beverages. We will be happy to bring you ice at your request.
Sound-Spa to lull you to sleep.
Gourmet Chocolates for that midnight sweet-tooth.
